Certified Computer Technician

Job Description:

Hiring Criteria - Essential Skills:

  2. Possess an analytical and problem solving methodology.
  3. Ability to work on a team under deadline pressures.
  4. Able to follow specific directions without deviation.
  5. High degree of attention to detail and follow through.
  6. Able to identify critical information and present it in a meaningful way.
  7. Must be able to follow process checklists precisely.
  8. An effective organizer able to prioritize tasks.
  9. Perform other tasks as directed.

Educational requirements:

  1. Associate degree or technical school certification is required.
  2. A Microsoft certification is required in a current Windows OS.

Experience requirements:

  1. Proficient with MS Word and Excel 2007 using excellent spelling and grammar,
  2. Able to diagnose and remedy computer hardware and desktop operating system issues.
  3. Proficient installing and configuring new computers with the the latest technology.
  4. Working knowledge of DNS, SPF records, IPCONFIG, NSLOOKUP, WHOIS and backup technologies.
  5. Capable of building computers, replacing hard drives, optical devices and other components.
  6. Capable of installing operating systems, doing file/settings transfers and system imaging.
  7. Proficient with access setup and use of Internet technical resources.
  8. Can easily setup a workgroup with share printer and file folders across network.
  9. Proficient with use of HTML.
